Hot take right now but; High electricity prices *do* mean the market is working correctly.

In a highly-renewable energy-only market, we should expect to see higher peak prices and more volatility.

It's not official yet, but it looks like 2023 is going to come in with the lowest emissions intensity from electricity generation in almost 20 years*.

I have a trip to Auckland coming up for a couple of climate-related workshops. I'm sitting in for a colleague on one, saving a trip there, but I started thinking about my climate impact.
There's no online option, and the flights are a pretty large portion out of my annual carbon budget. 1/X
