🇨🇦 I wrote a couple of novels, but let’s not go making a big deal about it. Working on a third book. Loves 70s movies. Opinionated.

I wrote three novels. A Flicker Of Shadows is a literary horror with a philosophical theme. Cur Dogs is a brutal sci-fi wilderness survival story. The third one may never see the light of day.

I made a down-n-dirty, ugly as sin, barely workable, poor man’s plow plane. And yet, it got the job done.

Progress is being made. Little trees are taking shape nicely. They look better than these pics show. They aren’t in the same scale as the mountain ranges, but that’s by design.

I have no idea how many times I’ve watched this great flick. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore, says the 52 year old guy to a bunch of teenagers who really weren’t listening so they removed their noise-cancelling headphones and asked, “Wha’?”

Tingen and his favourite toy. It’s a plush Link (Legend of Zelda). He “hunts” it, tosses it around, and parades through the house with it before going to bed each night.

We have many stuffed toys like this for the dog, but even he knows Link is only for the cat.

I’m listening to 1960s Motown classics while designing Halloween themed billboard art. The US may be dying from self-inflicted wounds, and world peace is destabilizing as a result, but I’ve still got Motown.

I’ve been sharpening saws with files, trying to get skilled at it. This old beauty dovetail saw has little teeth alternating with 45 degree angles for crosscutting. Now, it’s sharp like tiny cat claws.

Good grief. I’m boring.

Someone painted this mid-century dresser/sideboard. I’m going to bring it back to glory. The veneer is thicker than the paper thin kind used today, so sanding it should be okay if I’m careful. Drawers not shown because I’ve already begun scraping the paint. The good news: they didn’t prime it.

I made a railway track score counter complete with cowboy hats … that ended up looking like severed heads. Next for the cowboy board game custom work: elevated terrain sections for the game board.

Abraham Lincoln was the 1st president to be assassinated. He was also the 1st president to be embalmed. AND he was the 1st and only president to have a multi-state open casket traveling funeral.
AND THEY ALL WENT WRONG!
Read all about it in my historical fiction / political satire.

A revised #writingcommunity intro!

I’m K.L. Anderson, author of But First You Need a Plan (Leapfrog Press), a domestic drama with a mystery.

2024 was a quiet year, but I have a few short stories coming out in 2025.

I’m here to cheer writers on, engage with decent humans, and adore your pets.

I printed ol’ timey money for our western board game “Spurs.” It’s a little thing, but it improves the gameplay immensely. There’s nothing more fine than a fistful of dollars.

Each bill in the $1,305 lot has been cut, crumpled and pressed lovingly by yours truly.
