I can play drunk OK if the scene is written well enough. What I can't do is recreate the drunken thought process from thin air.
A friend of mine who knew Catherine O’Hara said one of her comedy superpowers was playing drunk, no one could do it better than her

Frank Thomas is a proud man. He has dignity. He has ego, but only that which he earned. He is stubborn, as most great players are. And he can have a temper when he feels disrespected. That is, he's a great man, and in those things he's no different than other great men. Reinsdorf is criminal.
Maybe just me but I've never heard a negative word about Thomas. How do you treat that guy that way?

REP. @aoc.bsky.social : “Why haven’t so many been prosecuted? Why are Pam Bondi & DOJ hiding the majority of the Epstein files? We need to get to the bottom of it. It doesn’t matter if you’re Republican, Dem… We’re talking about sexual crimes and trafficking.”

Terrific as romance & thriller, but the metaphor means something - David Warner, as the Ripper, has a chilling speech that his true home is 1979 - he’s not a Victorian bogeyman, he’s one of us
TIME AFTER TIME (Nicholas Meyer, 1979)

H. G. Wells, a progressive Victorian polymath, must pursue Jack the Ripper to the dystopian future year of 1979 in an experimental Time Machine.

The GOP doesn't want a rule that ICE can't wear masks for fear of doxxing. If the agents weren't acting like absolute Gestapo thugs, it wouldn't be a problem.

The only things I know about Catherine O'Hara is that her Catholic faith was apparently important to her, & like John Candy she instinctively looked after people. To act like she did you have to have a hell of a lot of empathy, compassion (for yourself & others), & generosity. All you need to know.
People think she's her characters. She was a working mom in real life. That's a successful actor. You know very little about her.

And DHS
Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

I also had no idea that Gielgud & Richardson (!!) did the first season of SCTV when they brought NO MAN'S LAND to Toronto. Apparently they turned down a Shakespeare sketch in the same episode so they wrote a Pinter play for them instead... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hbxa...

Maybe follow the law and don’t murder civilians?
Sen. Roger Marshall: "The idea of taking the masks down -- look, we have folks back home that are being doxxed, that are having to hire personal security for their children even."
