Yeah... it would turn anyone away. That and free users now only getting 42 free articles (instead of over a hundred like they used to), surprised many people stick around beyond that.

Good lord... I use WA and I've had a subscription for years so I haven't seen the ads in a looong time, that is *insane*. I don't know how any free user puts up with the site. Shame, cause it's really useful with a membership. But if that is the experience as a freeman, I wouldn't stick around.

Art is just so fucking cool. I love scrolling my feed here and seeing piece after piece of what feels like the true universal language of humanity. Even if we don't share the same words you can draw a picture of something that matters to you and I will feel it in some way. I love that connection.
