Flapjack as Motobug, Moff as Motobug

Against all odds... Moff lost connection during the race. The race is declared a tie, granting, much to both of their shock and horror, a point.

They both then explode violently, pieces of them flying and clattering against the ground.

Motoflap 3 - 3 Motomoff
(Track was Autumn Ring)

Artist's Note: Yeah, our "Best of 5" really did end in a connection error. If we were doing this purely to see who was better, then sure, we could've just mulligan'd that error and called the winner off of another race.

...but in our heart of hearts, we both knew the correct way to handle this.

(We continued racing shortly afterwards, Ring Racers really is just that fun if you can dedicate some learning time to it!)

Recently did a low-stakes race with @moffballoon.bsky.social in hit game Ring Racers! They actually have a Duel mode now, meaning 1v1s are their own thing. (It's like tug-of-war!)

The stakes were quite simple:

- Best of 5.
- Loser inflates.
- Motobug.

Flapjack as a Motobug, and Moff as a Motobug.

Moff took the first loss, immediately hitting twice the height of Motoflap. She's frustrated, he's amused.

Motoflap 0 - 1 Motomoff

Artist's Note: accidentally forgot this was a "clean sweep" when I had made this, which is kinda important, but hey! It's funnier this way. Go on and jump to the next page to see why that's important.

Flapjack as Motobug, Moff as Motobug.

Flap gets a retaliatory ballooning to their utter shock, having lost in a "clean sweep" (losing 4 checkpoints without earning a single point) and taking half a point in bonus damage. Moff's got their confidence back.

Motoflap 1 (.5) - 1 Motomoff
(Track was... I forgot, sorry!)

Flapjack as Motobug, Moff as Motobug

Flap takes on a *second* clean sweep loss, taking another well-earned super inflation and getting twice as large as their opponent! He's barely hanging on, and his expression shows as much. Moff's now ramming themselves into Flap at high speed, sure that they got this in the bag.

Motoflap 2 (1) - 1 Motomoff
(Track was Darkvile Castle 1)

Flapjack as Motobug, Moff as Motobug

Flap, against all odds, managed to pull back a win. It's just a regular win, but it's enough to bounce Moff right off of him. Moff, in turn, is getting bumped up slightly into the air as their body starts catching up to Flap.
Her expression can only be described as a simple "oh".
