In front of the Pantheon in Rome, where myth meets stone, and grandeur meets time.
Nothing reminds us of the eternity of an idea like architecture that has withstood history for centuries.

A rare Arabic manuscript (Egypt) depicting the dissection of a horse, likely dating back to the 15th century AD (9th century AH), demonstrates the progress of Islamic veterinary medicine.  The manuscript is famous for its depiction of a horse lying on its back, known as the "al-faras al-mastuh".

The scarcest dust jacket around: Graham Greene's "Brighton Rock" July 1938. Because readers hated it. 8000 copies printed, but everyone threw the jacket away. $50,000 to buy one. (Don't be fooled by the facsimile.)
I’ve received new books from Iran on ḥikmah, the Ishrāqī school, and Shīʿī theology. Many thanks to Mohammadreza Moini.
One of my favorite corners of my library.
Each book here is not just ink & paper but a voice from the past, speaking, debating, and opening new horizons.

By the 3rd/9th century, Twelver Shiʿism crystallized with the doctrine of the Great Occultation, shifting Imamate from political leadership to spiritual authority.
