I’m actually surprised by how many she’s done!

I already knew of her when she was a relatively new name and before I knew it, she’s doing big roles like Haru from Beastars, Trish in JoJo’s, Kikuri in Bocchi the Rock, and Marcille in DunMeshi!

That’s neat.

I dunno, I loved this interaction so much.

It’s always been my wish to meet fellow Tolkien fans in-person (I’d love to actually meet all of you someday, my fellow Tolkien fans here on Bluesky and Twitter!) so befriending that exchange student really made my day!

She also loved my various Tolkien illustrations and I was SO HAPPY that someone besides the lovely Tolkien fans I’ve met here online actually understands and knows the characters, settings, and scenes being depicted in my art!

She came over to our place along with some others and she was nerding out when she saw my Tolkien books and goodies! I even let her hold Sting (she said we’re safe since it wasn’t glowing blue 😆)!

Last night, I met a Japanese exchange student who *LOVES* The Lord of the Rings!

She’s read the books and watched the movies more than a couple of times.

You won’t believe how ecstatic I was to finally meet a fellow Tolkien fan in-person for the first time.
