The existence of school boards in Ontario is threatened! And that's a bad thing...as we know in Nova Scotia. Article by me.

My letter in the Herald today...but written last week. This week we have the provincial govt. rejecting the Hfx regional plan - voted for by council 13-4 in June and in the works for years! What next? Eliminating council? @nsgov.bsky.social @hfxgov.bsky.social

Premiers should not overrule democratically made decisions. Bike lanes are not the real issue here, democracy is. But cyclists will be at more danger here because of this interference.

When Tim Houston @nsgov.bsky.social talks about terrible decisions made by Hfx Council, and how the Morris St bike lane will add to traffic congestion in this city, I guess he hasn't driven Robie St recently. Tried to bike up Robie near the Willow tree today -terrifying! Worst bike ride in the city!

This is fantastic! Go chiefs!
Days after Premier Tim Houston's government passed legislation that lifts the provincial moratorium on hydraulic fracturing for onshore natural gas, Mi'kmaw leaders in Nova Scotia are making their position clear and threatening legal action. #nspoli

Our "progressive" Conservative government! Another good reason not to let any party get a super-majority.

Removing bike lanes is about personal spite...Ford can't ride a bike, so he hates anyone who can.
The modern conservative playbook. There is no need for the stated reasons to have any relationship with reality. The tariffs aren't about fentanyl and removing the bike lanes isn't about congestion.

This is old but relevant...remember when Conservatives started giving names to bills and acts that were actually opposite to what they actually did? Like the "Fair Elections Act" from Harper...

"Because I guarantee you, you get any member of the Conservative caucus alone in a room and you ask them who is the last man on Earth who should be put in charge of reforming democracy and they will tell you Pierre Poilievre."

Is T-rump suffering from megalomania? Does he really think he can just buy a country? I think these "jokes" are starting to wear thin...it's going to be a long 4 years. Sorry United States...some of you would be better off joining us up north.

Pierre Poilievre saying that all the Liberal contenders for new leader are only worried about their pensions is ironic...since he's never had a real job other than as MP, he is sitting on a pretty fat pension himself. He never disappoints...couldn't say a gracious word if his life depended on it.

I'm looking ahead to what is "promised" to be the carbon tax election, one of the stupidest premises for an election I can think of. Based on a lie - that the carbon tax is making groceries and everything else more expensive - it also has a catchy slogan "Axe the tax"... 1/2
