Tomight's film is What Have You Done to Solange? (1972), Italian horror shot in London. The dubbing is gorgeous with loads of chirpy cockernee types.

Think about it - why does anyone have a gun on the Death Star?
Nobody knows it exists except people who work there.

Without spoilers as to why, I reckon Pluribus had a perfect final line. I really don't care about a second season. Just end it there. Answering questions will only undermine it.

Doctor Who Literature returns and we're joined by Anthony & Alasdair from @2broad2deeppod.bsky.social, the brilliant podcast covering Jason's beloved 1990s New Adventures novels. Dragonfire (TV episode and book) gives us much to discuss, and @monstermaker.bsky.social has a great new song.

Just had a tumble. All very embarrassing and silly, made slightly less bad by being helped up by a driver who turned out to be my uber driver. A £5 tip well earned there.
But owww!!!!

Randomly decided to watch a Dramarama last night, The Secret of Croftmore from 1988. It featured Shug from Still Game, along with this 17-year-old lad called David making his TV debut. Whatever happened to him, I wonder?

Only just caught up with the Lizzie Hopley ep of @scarredforlife.bsky.social where Andy mentions his Nan's home in Norris Green. She lived round the corner from my Nan, who appropriately enough lived on SCARgreen Ave, the oppose side of Utting Ave E.

Are any of my friends Hugo voters? How do we get this podcast an award? Lots of awards! I don't think it's disrespectful towards other podcasts (including the one I co-produce) to say Graeme and the team have come up with the best podcast possible:

I'm so proud of my friend Graeme. He's always been an exceptional storyteller but his new podcast series, The Comics Code, is so good I'm actually crying on public transport. The story of Superman's creation is heartbreaking and inspirational. Roll on, series two!
My new podcast about comics history, The Comics Code, is coming October 28. The first season features the story of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and how they created, and lost the rights to, Superman. The trailer is now up, have a listen. open.spotify.com/episode/0EdU...

Next week, I'm releasing a song I created for the Dr Who Lit podcast. For the only time, I used AI to create the music from my lyrics. I feel bad doing this, but it really worked as an experiment because next week's book is The War Machines.
What makes it worse is, the song's an utter banger.
