Bookish boomer, leftie, no cats or dogs but I love them.
After all the rain and wind the sun is out and the garden lush. Making pesto, freezing beans.

Applies to NZ as well.
Bad immigrants.
My @smh cartoon.

It was a quick fix at the tyre place but picking up a roofing nail in a tyre just added $59 to the weekly blowout budget. Going into hibernation for winter to recoup.

Haha! So many in government are constitutionally incapable of putting money aside for maintenance. They want the photo op project and that’s it. Chuck in the zero rate rise bandwagon in local government which useless people ride to get elected and you have our current disaster.
NEW: The Infra Commission just released its official plan, and it's a massive challenge to the Govt and NZ to:

- Trim transport spending
- Double spending on renewal/maintenance
- Spend twice as much on hospitals

Went to the dentist and to pick up a repaired printer and the techies gave us a treat. On a wet and traffic crazy morning it brightened things up.

What the hell would 20 vehicles be doing up the Turakina Valley in weather like this?

Get your buckets out(if they’re not already catching water). A truly sick making moment on Stuff. Country is flooding all over and she’s trilling about eggman grabbing an umbrella.

Nothing but bad news from across the country both weather and family and friends health situations. Our extended whanau seem to be bottling and making jam to help themselves get through.

Weather watch Christchurch Sunday morning style. J went to Mass at the pro cathedral on Manchester and there was a skimpily clad working girl in the car park across the road. The wind was so cold by the end of Mass she’d retreated around the corner for some shelter.

Love how One News has a big piece talking up Christchurch as well as a piece about the boil water situation. Just a reminder of 3 waters importance.

I so want there to be a Kiwi curling team wearing floppy tartan tam o shanters, Red Bands and carrying hip flasks of whiskey.

Boy the nitpickers and angry ones are out there on FB over the Christchurch East boil water situation. Local MP Reuben Davidson doing good clear calm comms but apparently Chris Lynch is doing it better.🤷‍♂️

Holy heck! Phone just went off with emergency boil water alert!

Don’t know but pretty sure he spied for Israel. Mashup of Israelis, Russian/Ukranian Jewish oligarchs/gangsters doing evil crimes and spreading their evilness around the world facilitated in part by Epstein’s networking with American money and academia. (Jewish and non Jewish, gullible and aware).

This sounds very grounded, schools and others earn extra money, and with batteries it increases community resilience. www.thepress.co.nz/business/360...

The kowtowing to Israel is shameful in the light of this but even in 1995 this poor woman had to endure a 2 hour grilling by Mossad! The money/kompromat grip they have on politicians is awful. Her father’s war grave in Gaza was bulldozed by Israel. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Why is he so proud to be a carnivore? I always think omnivore is a much more impressive word.
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."
