Right now I feel like we are very much in the middle of a PS1-nostalgia era in gaming, not just due the tech required being easier to access, but also because the people making the games grew up during the PS1 era

It just makes me wonder what "nostalgic indies" we're gonna have 10 years from now

So when I was a kid I feel like most indie games were very much inspired by NES-SNES era of gaming. This being not only because that era of gaming was the easiest thing for small dev&hobbyists to replicate with no/low budget, but also because the people making those games grew up with the NES+SNES
