If people want to call me an idiot for having fun and being happy, then honestly, let me be stupid. I'd rather have "Bad takes" and enjoy life than listen to what a bunch of incels have to say.

I'm not gonna lie, I think I liked Elio more than K Pop Demon Hunters.

Like we already got a pretty solid lineup of first party Wii Titles that make their original counterparts irrelevant

I thought about a Wii NSO someday, but Nintendo already ported a lot of its best games to Switch as it is.

I honestly respect @vivziepop.bsky.social just for the fact that she has to get up and work on Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss and manage to crank out peak fiction despite the fact that her hatebase is one of the most depraved I've ever seen. A lesser creator would've thrown in the towel.

I'm doing a Sporcle Quiz about the Simpsons characters and I found out today that Sherri and Terri's last name is fucking Mackleberry. What the fuck?

People hate Nintendo for making games more expensive. Will celebrate hackers that will get not only Nintendo's personal data but the personal data of all of the customers, so in some cases, their own personal data, but it's okay because they charge 70 dollars for 2 of the best games ever made.

Nintendo has allegedly been breached by notorious hacker group Crimson Collective.

It's unclear how accurate this is (per article) or what the potential damage could be.

Super Mario Galaxy manages to triumph over all of the games that came before it and it set the precedent for all the Mario games that came in the future. What can surpass a World but a Galaxy?
moonpaladin.bsky.social
It's so densely packed that it makes you look at much larger games and you're forced to admit that said larger games are actually just super basic games spread unforgivably thin, like Skyrim.

The beautiful level design, the incredible music, the apocalyptic ending, the insanely good bosses, the secrets you can find, the Comet Observatory, the Prankster Comets and the Storybook. There's just so much stuff to Galaxy. It packs hundreds of great ideas into just a few hours of content.

Super Mario Galaxy was the 3D Mario game that I grew up with the most and admittedly, the pressure of it living up to my childhood was enough to make me really anxious the first time around.

But that anxiety melted away the farther I got. Galaxy more than lives up to my childhood.

I feel frustrated that “bad writing” nowadays is just people’s catch all way of saying they didn’t like it. Cuz what’s the bad writing? the story? dialogue? structure? A lot is subjective to taste. There’s always ways to detect “bad writing” but it takes justification past “this isn’t what I wanted”

All the inconsistent writing rules that antis invent make sense when you realize that “good writing” to them just means writing that perfectly lines up with their politics 1:1

I'm not celebrating Ian or his killer. I'm celebrating the victims having a chance to find closure and moving forward
moonpaladin.bsky.social
Ehhhh... Murder is still murder. Even if he killed a sex offender. I don't want to reward that personally.
moonpaladin.bsky.social
I hope all of Ian Watkins's victims can find a sense of closure knowing that their abuser is dead.

I don't get the hype for Last of Us. I really don't. I tried so hard to play it but every time I try, I just have the same thought.

I could be playing Resident Evil instead.

So I just play Resident Evil instead.

MisAnthroPony unironically believes that Joel went to heaven. He's being tortured by the Devil. Sarah’s ghost is literally haunting him and verbally abusing him for all the people he killed.
moonpaladin.bsky.social
I guess if you take Part 2's events into consideration, Joel never saved Ellie at all because she had nothing at the end of Part 2. He only saved himself because he is a sad and pitiful man.

He only ended up shortening his own life and a bunch of other people as well. He ruined so much.
moonpaladin.bsky.social
I thought that the ending would be more amazing if Joel just learned to let her go.

Think about it, Joel learned a lesson upon meeting Ellie. That he can always say hello and meet new people after his losses.

Instead of embracing that lesson, he only condemns Ellie to misery upon misery

They have a cult following for a reason, so it's totally fair that it didn't gel with you but I appreciate that you hear me out and want to understand it.

But Ares put Jeff Bridges in the trailer for fucking fanservice when I felt that his death was earned and really well-written. It was such a red flag because I personally hate it when any sequel tries to pretend that the last installment never happened. Just a cowardly thing for the writers to do.

Sam and Quorra ride off into the sunrise and we see Olivia Wilde's childlike wonder as she sees the actual sun for the first time, where Sam has to symbolically let Kevin go by dismantling the Grid, and whatever Legacy they end up forging is left up to the audience to think about.
moonpaladin.bsky.social
The film gives me a lot to think about, a harsh desolate yet still hauntingly beautiful backdrop to society's problems in miniature, Sam Flynn can't run from it, he can only face it. And as CLU schemes to attack the human world and make it into his own image. Kevin Flynn's legacy is left ambiguous.
moonpaladin.bsky.social
Everyone rags on the film for CLU having an ugly CGI de-aged Jeff Bridges face and it is pretty bad, I won't lie. That ugliness has kind of turned into something charming because of how unintentionally thematic it feels to have a wannabe God like CLU depicted with a malformed, hideous CGI face.
