People rightfully understand that its a moral imperative to fight back to protect your neighbours but are missing the "no good deed goes unpunished" consequences of that imperative. Very easy to point out what is right to do but its extremely understandable that not everyone has the capacity to.

Did this stop 2 people being shot to death within a week by ICE? The non violent protests are great but your argument is that it stops violence which is frankly insane given that you have access to the internet.

I think you're kind of just yelling into the wind. I'm not saying the protestors should be violent or even assuming many have the capacity to hurt others, I'm just saying it's specious to assume their actions are actively stopping the eventual ramp up of violence

Yeah I'm confused, seems like they're saying that the non-violent protests are both resulting in more violence against the protesters and also curbing it.

I think youre just saying stuff for the sake of it at this point. The argument was that you can't be violent because it gives trump a pretext that he ostensibly needs to incite more violence. The fact there hasnt been a murder in a few days doesn't prove anything regarding that.

Because they haven't killed anyone in 3 days? The people on the ground are doing gods work but thats nonsense. Theyre being flashbanged, theyre still being abducted, there's still violence. What could you possibly even pretend to mean by implying their actions will *prevent* future violence?

I dont think violence comes naturally to most people so I can't imagine a lot are chomping at the big to pick up arms but your suggestion also invites more aggressive occupations, only difference is you've convinced yourself it doesn't because it feels good.

I'm saying he doesnt need the pretense and its frankly embarrassing that you watched a woman get shot in the face and still think that. Like watching a dog sink baskets on you while saying "dont think the dog is allowed to play but if we do anything about it they might put a second dog on the court"
