That's just the thing, yeah. Any group or corpo that gets that kind of power will inevitably abuse it--and it's not like we can just elect some perfect, morally righteous arbiter of content who will only ever censor the correct things. IMO communities should police themselves, not everyone

I'm not saying you have to accept content you find disgusting or morally wrong--just that giving any one person or group the power to decide what is and isn't acceptable for everyone is a really bad idea.

They tested the waters by calling to ban some disgusting, depraved games that nobody was sad to see go. That's given them the ability to censor anything they don't like, and inevitably, they abuse that power because anyone in that position would. That's how slippery slopes work.

What alternate payment methods are available? Pretty much everything uses PayPal or one of the big two credit card companies as a middleman, from what I remember. Does everyone need to pay in crypto from now on?
