We still have several titles in stock, but most of them in very low quantities. (eg the previous soccer Committee lp '♥/lamb') full list of what's left + a package deal-thing: www.morctapes.com/store.html - you can get 3 lps for 50 euro + shipping, and yes, that includes the new releases as well.

soccer Committee has a new album out today- with 'Eye', Mariska gifted us her most layered work yet, whilst keeping true to her spartan sound.

high quality German vinyl, full colour sleeve with a downloadcoupon. for sale for 18 euro + shipping.

--> more info/images: www.morctapes.com/eye.html
Mariska Baars, aka soccer Committee is a force to be reckoned with: whoever heard one of her albums, or was lucky enough to see her live, knows that no one masters the art of peeling away every unnecessary layer of a song like she does. From the very first notes of 'Eye, it’s clear that Baars is at the peak of her powers. The most traditional songs here remind us why we fell for her songwriting in the first place: they’re delicately strong and quietly fierce. Other pieces showcase her mastery in manipulating texture and silence - even more than ever. Throughout 'Eye', she's evoking an atmosphere so hushed you lean in, afraid to miss a single detail. Baars weaves it all together in a way that only she can, crafting a listening experience that holds you in its spell from start to finish. i've said it before, and i'll say it again: the most fun radioshows to make are the ones i which i can announce something. and we have two things to announce here on morcfm!

--> listen via www.morctapes.com/morcfm
first, there's the soccer Committee lp 'eye' coming up next week. you'll hear 'pretty little foxes' as the starter of this episode. already one of my very favorite soccer Committee tracks. And we have an upcoming show to announce: Kroppskännedom is coming to belgium for the first time, incl. a show in Ghent on october 17th. yes! to top it off: Berlinde Deman wil be playing that evening too. not suprisingly: we played her music here on morcfm before.

Plenty of other new and old favorites in this episode as well though. we're playing a few things related to our trip to Wales this summer, fill in a (huge!) gap in our Roy Montgomery collection, notice that you really can never say 'now i have enough Brannten Schnüre', and get excited about Frankie Traandruppel's new lp. and we say some nice things about great recordstores. probably one of the more coherent editions of morcfm, really. * soccer Committee - Pretty little foxes (from the lp 'Eye', Morc records, 2025)
* Berlinde Deman - Hungry Mouth tree (from the dl 'Hungry mouth tree', Hinah, 2020)
* Kroppskännedom - Sluta (from the lp 'Kroppskännedom', Morc records, 2025)
* Milkweed - The tree as a kinship symbol (from the tape 'Folklore 1979', self-released, 2024)
* Suzanne Vega - Left of center (from the cd 'Retrospective: the best of', A&M, 1986/2003)
* Six organs of admittance - Blue sun chiming (from the cd 'Dust & Chimes', Holy mountain, 1999/2000)
* Roy Montgomery - Some footage of dancing that no-one else saw (from the 2lp 'Camera Melancholia', Grapefruit, 2022)
* Treasury of puppies - Sapfo livin (from the lp 'Treasury of puppies', Digital Regress, 2020/2022)
* Nostalgie Eternelle - A victory smile (from the lp 'at that time', Infinite expanse, 1989/2025)
* Frankie Traandruppel - Crying shame (from the lp 'Translation is key', Singularity records/Good times rock n roll club, 2025)
* Kyra - Die wonderlijke dag (from the lp 'Here i am, i always am', Damaged goods, 1998/2023)
* Balint Brösel & Brannten Schnüre - Disco (from the lp 'Gespensterland', Bureau B, 2023)
* Arianne Churchman & Benedict Drew - Portal emerges to a world reversed (from the lp 'The tree of the left hand', Folklore, 2025)

mark oct 17th in your agenda and book a trip to Ghent. we're setting up a show of Kroppskännedom and Berlinde Deman.

Info/reservations: www.morctaped.com/live
Andreas is doing his first Kroppskannedom-shows outside of Sweden, and of course Ghent is a stop. we've put out his debut lp earlier this year: slow, repetitive songs that bring a vague rock-ish approach to the abstract soundcollages that he's an expert in creating. hearing=believing.

And Berlinde brings her even more ambientesque melodies, performed on serpent (an ancestor of the tuba) and effects. moody, trippy and slow - she's releasing her solo cd shortly after the show, so here's a chance to get a sneak preview.

the past weeks, we ran out of quite a few titles. so we did an effort, and managed to restock a handful of copies - new and unplayed, in perfect condition. 1-4 copies of each, so i'm only putting these up on bandcamp. first come, first served.

--> morctapes.bandcamp.com/merch
- Roxane Métayer: Éclipse des ocelles
- Roxane Métayer/Pefkin: split lp
- Linus Vandewolken: Oude Geuze uit Niemandaal
- Edgar Wappenhalter: IJsschots Veenlaag Mist

18 euro each, or pick 3 lps for 50 euro. (yes, it's possible to combine these with the upcoming soccer Committee lp, which i fully recommend!)
morctapes.bsky.social
the lp is out on sept 24th, but pre-orders are available now. that makes things a bit easier for us. the lp costs 18 euro as usual + shipping. and of course: the '3 lp's for 50 euro' is possible with this one as well. help yourself - www.morctapes.com/store is the best option. hope you'll enjoy!

i noticed that i havent been playing a lot of 'rock' in the past few episodes, so we're making that up here with a few stone cold classics - so, mostly 'older things' here - only a handful of tracks from after 2020.
morctapes.bsky.social
another summer episode of morcfm - due to deadlines, we had to record this before leaving on a holiday, and had to 'rush' it a little. so: less talking here - just a bit in the beginning, and more at the end.

to be honest: it does feel like a long time ago, really. (and: thanks for the kind words - always)

The occasion was the wonderful bluesanct-festival, with ao Annelies monseré, vollmar, drekka, zelienople, static films, Darryl blood, red queen hypothesis, darin gray, Elephant Micah, rivulets... Probably the best bill i ever was on
morctapes.bsky.social
20 years ago, i played my first show in the usa as circle bros. That was in the public library in Bloomington, IN, and it's still hard to believe this happened. mkl drekka/bluesanct set up the festival, @jessicabailiff.bsky.social lent me her guitar and amp.

summer: it's the season of the festivals. Luster is doing a rare live appearance at the legendary Dranouter festival. a good excuse to ask the six members of luster to pick a track related to the festival, and they're all introducing their choices themselves
