Something I've noticed I'm having a hard time with as I drive away from the purely electronic-music workflow is the idea of writing melodies/riffs/progressions/lyrics, you know, the actual musical composition, in a separate way from specific recordings in a specific DAW session

Not thrilled that the game I decided to pick up specifically so I would have something to get into for myself and could latch onto as a Gaia Thing was picked up one by one by all of my friends (some after quite a lot of bitching and deriding said game!)

So I was looking at a plugin called Black Salt Audio Silencer and I thought wow that’s kinda cool, but under the hood it’s probably some kind of multiband gate or something tuned to specific frequencies. I tried multiband gating drums myself and got really good results for eliminating bleed.
