In January, we published a paper about migratory bird counts www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
For different reasons, we did not include the managers of the bird counts. But the @batumiraptorcount.org people had some important comments

It was really nice meeting new and old friends, hearing about so many interesting studies and even enjoying nice weather that allowed me to see the local wildlife 😅.
See you next year?

But why stop there? What about removing human settlements from remote areas so that Putin can't attack them (and to reduce human effects)? Reducing the number of flights to avoid being targeted (and reducing CO2 emissions)?
Any other ideas?

If you don't know it, it really is an amazing tool (with some problems, obviously). The most important thing is that it allows me to read (well, hear) a few more papers, missing a little less of what's new in science.
