...as unlikely as this sound... in about 2011 post WFMU fair of a Sunday... coming home mildly cut... I spotted a pile of records on 19th & 7th Ave for bin/trash... all Nu Groove & Strictly Rhythm... looked through them... picked the one's I was missing & wobble to hotel... next morning... Doh ;-)

Grrrr... 2003 ATP festival... had to part with my ticket to one of the posse you went with... having just moved to (Oh) Vienna... that said I would only have sold this for squids... much like the 2nd edition... which went to a gent in the US last year... glad someone still has an OG... U devil ;-)

I was saddened to hear of the recent death of the English poet Tony Harrison. Harrison spoke to me more clearly than any other poet I’ve read. His peerless command of rhyme and rhythm, his lyrical, elegiac tone and his blend of vernacular language and classical erudition all combined to produce a body of work that I found uniquely affecting and readable. But I’m no literary critic, and I don’t intend to try and analyse Harrison’s poetry in any depth. Instead, I wanted to set down a few personal reflections on the man and his work.
