I made a sort of Mentaipan for brunch today with salmon roe and, friends - it was incredible. I’ll get my hands on some cod/pollock roe and make the real thing next time but knowing I can make an approximation of the version I ate at Pain Stock in Fukuoka is excellent news.

I was just talking to a new pal and he was encouraging me to go hang out with him and his photographer friends and they all so sound successful & serious and I’m just some idiot taking the same shot over and over. How does anyone just rock up to a thing like that and not feel like an absolute fraud?

My child told me today that there was once so much rain in Ipswich that sharks swam through the town
I have learnt that he is smarter than me despite being 7 so I didn’t tell him he was wrong and boy was I glad because he was right and I also learnt that there is a place in Australia called Ipswich

The weather needs to calm itself down. There’s really no need for this much rain. It’s completely unnecessary. Everything is already wet.

Have released what? Prisoners? Sarin gas? This linguistic aberration is showing up more and more and I don’t like it. This might be the issue that has me joining the defund the BBC movement.

Every day a new horror gets added to the mute list. Eventually it’ll just be me and the cat pics and I’ll be happier and the world won’t be any worse than it already is.
