There were definitely more people at the Boulder No Kings protest today, than at the last No Kings protest (and there were a lot then)! Lots of great signs, some fun inflatable costumes, a peaceful day of protesting.

Welp, that game sucked. Starting pitching, relief pitching, and hitting, all doing badly. I know the M's are capable of turning things around. The question is just...will they manage to? I hope so! But frankly if Toronto keeps playing like they have the last 2 days, then they deserve to win. :(

Go Mariners!! And way to go Bryce Miller! Our #5 starter pitched on short rest (since our other 3 uninjured starting pitchers all pitched in Game 5 on Friday), gave up a leadoff home run on the 1st pitch, and then he and the bullpen held Toronto to a single hit the rest of the way.

Ever since his family's food rations stopped arriving at their internment camp in Myanmar in April, the father had watched helplessly as his once-vibrant baby boy weakened, suffering from diarrhea and begging for food.
On May 21, exactly two weeks after Taher's little boy died, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio sat before Congress and declared: "No one has died" because of his government's decision to gut its foreign aid program. Rubio also insisted: "No children are dying on my watch."
That, Taher says, "is a lie."

Got to hang out w/bro & his gf & kids this afternoon, which is always nice. Unfortunately, Mom had a fall while playing w/ the kiddos (nobody's fault, she just stumbled) and got pretty banged up. Hopefully it's nothing serious and she heals up quickly, but I hate to see her hurting. :(

Oh, good! Even with precautions, it's not always easy to avoid. I took more time off today and slept in late. I'm definitely feeling improved over yesterday (but still pretty wiped out). I know better than to expect to be back at 100% any time soon, but hoping for continued progress...
