Pretty rich for Paxton to spend years writing + defending policies meant to define trans inclusive families as "sinful" while his own family falls apart for "biblical reasons", then ask for "privacy" when he's repeatedly sought access to trans kids' medical files.

He never said he'd protect him. We asked him to keep our son in mind when shitty legislation was discussed. He said he seemed like a good kid, and then he left.

We had hoped for more. And I don't regret the dinner. We tried. We will ALWAYS try.

They have worked for *years* to tear my family apart. May EVERYTHING they've tried to do us return to them tenfold.

In 2016, Ken Paxton had the audacity to sit at my table and break bread with my family knowing full well that my son is trans, then SIX YEARS LATER wrote an opinion stating that families like mine shouldn't exist. Within days, a CPS investigator was in our home threatening to remove our children.🧵
