I just discovered this pretty amazing series from Australia called Mystery Road. It started with a 2013 movie and they recently did a prequel series. Any Aussie/Kiwi friends out there who want to laugh at me the way I chuckle when someone tells me they've discovered Murdock Mysteries? ๐

I am an ex-pat ๐จ๐ฆ living in Texas. I still use my Weather Network app for my forecasts, especially these days. TWN always sends me storm alerts faster than any of the other weather sites, including Google. I'm grateful my homeland doesn't want me to die in a hurricane ๐๐ช๏ธโก๐

When I was a kid, it was instilled in me that adults deserve respect and parents knew manners and taught them to their children. This is why I always have a knee-jerk reaction when people older than me who are parents to my peers end up being rude and tactless. What the hell did you teach your kids?

So many people give gifts that they themselves want to receive without thinking about the recipient.
It's why I have come to dislike tangible, material gifts.
I'll forget who gave me a book but I'll remember who made me laugh.
