1. Finally some fight.

"Have you no decency!?" asked Rep. Keating after a Republican rep called Sarah McBride "Mr. McBride" repeatedly.

McBride shot back, calling the chairman "Madam Chairman."

Fireworks erupted, Dems protested, and the hearing was cancelled.

During a meeting of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, a Republican representative, Rep. Keith Self, called transgender congresswoman the "gentleman from Delaware." Dems pushed back.

I’ve tied approximately 1,572,264 knots in the last two days. My fellow physics teachers understand my pain.

This week I learned…

Do not teach the Class of 2028 letters from the Greek alphabet. The reaction about Σ is not an experience I’d wish to repeat.

Today’s underground spirit day was “Anything sports” so of course I had to wear this vintage awesomeness.

Okay #iteachphysics and #modphys crowd, give me your ideas. I was awarded a grant to start an annual Physics Olympics class competition and need activities that can easily be done within 45 minutes. What say you?

It’s underground spirit week at school and today’s theme is “Anything but 2024.” Good news, I can still rock the mall hair.

Amazing what “Have you checked your grade?” followed by “Is it in your backpack?” can produce. This is the result from just one class.

Today in class we watched the video of Apollo 15 Commander David Scott dropping a hammer and feather on the surface of the Moon, then used the video to calculate the acceleration of the objects. What I was *not* prepared for was having multiple students who think the Moon landing was staged. *sigh*

Pro teacher tip: When students try to confuse you with their Gen Z/Alpha slang, counter with a Valley Girl accent and 80s slang.

Worked like a charm.
