Dyou think we should ask for it on Pick of the Week?
Enjoy. Shouty Brummie complains loudly about the Royals...
Get yourself a copy of Alchemy and take everything you say about Mark Knopfler back.

One of the best live recordings ever - Knopfler is amazing live.

Another day another #Spiked pundit on #BBC. This time: Ella Whelan on #bbcaq. Spiked are right-wing shock jocks funded by the Trumpian Charles Koch. Profiled on the BBC all to provide clicks when Spiked offer no substance & nothing constructive to public debate.
Writing for The Telegraph these days isn't an improvement on Spiked, either!
Yes but it doesn't really matter.

The whole monarchy debate is always answered by a single question.

Why?
Those eedjits on Bute would have a field day.... There are pretendy pictures of wanabee Stuart kings all over Bute Hoose.

I suspect this side of the the Scottish mainland it would draw on Rangers/Celtic lines.
Not certain I'd mate with him.

Nada sexy about any of that look.
That is a glorious mix of wit and irritation.
When is this going to be addressed for the shit show it obviously is?
Actually it looks like fun.

That said I bet he's a bit too convincing in the role....
He's a Wet. No harm in that - I was able to tolerate the patriarchal Tories of the 80s before Hayek too full stranglehold

Sad to see Ken Clark hasn't taken up cudgels as well
For Brits this just schoolday rounders gone mad.
I watch silently. Need to see what's doing, but not engage with the buggers
That's a fabulous bit OF workaday typesetting.

Very impressed by the use of the long S. (those tied characters making up ~st).

The fonts are a bit battered as well - and I love the crappy kerning between WA.

🙌 Huge double digit lead for Scottish independence in a latest poll.

🔎 This is a (+3%) boost in a month, from the same pollster.

Actually it's one of the reasons we are a bit of a pain in the arse for the EU. More UK squabbles.

Generally agree with you on the Euro, mind. The Scottish 'deficit' would make us ineligible to join on Day 1. I don't know of any EU country that has, actually.
Agreed with all of that. The GF agreement will be salt in the wound here too, although the Scotland-England border is far less circuitous than the NI one.

Right at the moment the indy debate is squabbling about currency (as usual), but the real test will be the border for goods.
Ireland has always been out of Schengen, and because of the G Friday agreement will continue to. Scotland would similarly share a border with England.

I'm not certain of how the UK excused itself. Sadly Brits do refer to the 'British Isles' although I bet many can't say why or how it applies.
Same in Denmark.

BTW I am not a British exceptionalist. I have no issues with the aquis, and never have. It's just the EU is very good at accommodating issues and fudging requirements.
