I agree with that a lot 2 and 6 seamlessly integrate where Kirk is in life and career

The Undiscovered Country is peak Star Trek:
- topical/relevant and *actually has something to say and says it loud*
- great cold war adventure/espionage movie even though it’s star trek
- funny!
- too many Shakespeare references
- Spock makes a Nixon joke

4 had everyone leaving the theater with that happy hopeful feeling Roddenberry always wanted and it helped save the humpback whales

6 was powerful in a more intense way of reflecting the times
Amazing shit

I remember being so disappointed as a kid when I saw it. I could tell my dad was too lol... He raised me to be a Trekkie and Star Wars nerd

Damn that's when the action begins lol

O wait you did rank Star Trek 5 🤦🏿‍♂️😂😂😂

I always felt 2,3,4, and 6 were the best. At least we can all agree about which number shouldn't be mentioned at all in polite company tho

I don't acknowledge the existence of any Star Wars sequels 🫡 Disney should be indicted

And both Lucas and Roddenberry needed ppl to tell them no with the movies. The ones where Roddenberry fueded with the directors are some of the best sci-fi EVER
mrwildstyle.bsky.social
Yeah it felt more like a mini series vs full movie intensity

I think they both have great concepts and storylines but fail on the execution. Both capitalized on the excitement of a renewed franchise and I think that clouded everyone's judgement on NEEDING to execute

It's the Phantom Menace of Star Trek movies... Needed in many ways but also not very good lol

"The legislature should institute controls on rent statewide, or at least allow local communities to make their own decisions on how to address the rising costs contributing to the over 70,000 evictions filed each year in Indiana."

Indiana needs rent control to address housing crisis | Opinion
Indiana is fine with putting price controls on health care, power, water and sewage costs. Why not apply that same logic to housing?
