It’s funny that Philp hit waivers with the risk to lose him to clear space instead of sending down Nystrom and when Philp clears they send down Nystrom anyway. I guess they felt confident Edmonton wouldn’t claim, since they’re at the 23 man cap and would have to send someone down too.

The Workrate Hockey newsletter is out, and reminding you just because someone says that a player is available, you don’t necessarily want them, so instead of giving you a wishlist, I discussed five guys you don’t want, even if you think you do. workrate-hockey.ghost.io/workrate-hoc...

The most recent edition of the Workrate Hockey newsletter came out this morning. Since I’m not talking about the Blues game, we’ll talk about tonight’s Canes game being “Hockey Is For Everyone” Night. Oh, did you not know that? That’s not surprising. workrate-hockey.ghost.io/workrate-hoc...

We're not talking about the Blues game. I mean, I don't think we *can*. So what do we talk about?

Ricochet going from “super flippy guy who’ll end up in a wheelchair” to “Drake, but a wrestler” was absolutely great for his career and health. He’s still going to do his spots but venturing away from the Ospreay/Darby path is wise (and still entertaining as hell)

The Canes are going to be in St. Louis tonight, where a certain familiar defenseman is on the block. In today’s Workrate Hockey newsletter, we talk about the possibility of a few veterans coming back to Raleigh. (SPOILER: one nah, one “well wait a minute”). workrate-hockey.ghost.io/workrate-hoc...

Not to pile on, but the Workrate Newsletter came out today, and we talk about Jesperi Kotkaniemi’s tradability and how his contract, which looks ugly in theory, is one of the lowest risks for another team to take on - assuming someone jumps soon. workrate-hockey.ghost.io/workrate-hoc...

Sounds like a certain defenseman might be ready. Nystrom reassigned to Chicago.

Has anyone not sounded the siren at a Canes game? Like it just seems to be randos out of the crowd every game

Embarrassing trivia: I thought “Boot Scootin' Boogie” was an original song by Jon, the country singer kid from the second season of MTV’s “The Real World” for several years youtu.be/rPy6YQNhSxQ?...

The Anaheim Ducks are struggling and probably thinking of some island vacations during the Olympic break but Joel Quenneville is keeping those thoughts out of his head. Google “quenneville ignore beach” for more details
