I said "app-uh-LAY-shun" state once on a podcast and got dragged for a good year afterward
There was a kerfuffle a while back when the Joes mispronounced a town name on their OG podcast, but I can't remember the specifics. The North/South Carolina "Beaufort" dichotomy is interesting.
