BTW, if you're looking for information the the NC Rabbit Hole itself, here are some numbers: The first edition that went out on this date in 2020 was sent to 58 subscribers. Today's edition went out to 12,704! There haven't been any mass subscription events, it's just been a steady drip drip drip.

FWIW @carolinaforward.bsky.social mapped things out last year, and again with the caveat that per capita rates are not always a perfect mechanism for comparison, the homicide rate across many counties in Eastern North Carolina was higher than in urban counties. carolinaforward.org/blog/nc-crim...
