Now if you’ve made it with me this far, sweet cheeks, then good on you for caring! 🤟🏻

If you haven’t caught on, private policies make payers a fuck ton more net profit.

So encouraging anyone to leave marketplace, or ending ACA expansion, or the premium subsidies is literally saying go make those

be nonexistent. Which, since Medicare and commercial policies don’t support, that means it’s YOU left paying for these services.

One “act of god” is all it takes. In the blink of an eye you could go from healthy to needing 24 hour care.

A BLINK OF AN EYE. I’ve seen it.

It’s an undeniable fact

So while MCD/ACA are predictable, they aren’t profitable.

Coverage/payment amounts are heavily regulated and while MCOs can wiggle a little here, they can’t wiggle into sustainable profit.

LTSS services are a huge chunk of payer costs as MCOs. Medicare, Medigap, and commercial policies don’t cover

Almost every major player in the insurance game also act as an MCO for Medicaid and a marketplace payer.

Why’s that matter? Because Medicaid/ACA are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.

While Medicaid/ACA margins for payers are steady and reliable, without financial risk, the net profit is slim to none.

Heya dollfaces..

Let’s talk about Trump and his “money sucking, big bad insurance companies” plan of sending citizens the funds used for the ACA.

Oh, baby cakes, let’s talk about this.

And let’s talk about what this would mean for those money suckers…

People often think I’m being overreactive. Dramatic. Alarmist.

I get the importance of SNAP. But I don’t think some of you understand how bad the healthcare crisis is.

Funneling even more profit to major payers should be a crime against humanity.

“For profit healthcare” should NEVER exist.

See? I did a whole 🧵

Welp, it’s been a whopper of a week, so much so I missed Medicaid Monday…

Anyway… I’m on unexpected(but soooo will take) PTO the remainder of the week, so let’s see what we can find…

If nothing else, it would be nice to open bluesky to something other than @altssa.altgov.info making me angry 🤣😜

Happy Saturday!

It’s BEAUTIFUL outside where I’m at and considering we are only a few weeks away from -30 wind chills, I’ll be enjoying the sun.

If you can, do the same!

Saturday shenanigans will happen this evening 🤓

Alright. I’m home and got to read the whole article and fucking hell @altssa.altgov.info I only got back this morning after needing to literally calm myself about the fate of ACA.

Alright buttercups… brace yourselves.

This is a lot to digest. And honestly? Where the fuck to begin with this?

I’m going to rant and rave A LOT about how there are (almost certainly) going to be major cuts to state provided HCBS.

(Home and Community Based Services, separate from mandated Long Term Services/Supports)

Why not give ya a quick breakdown of what some of those community focused programs are!?

This entire thread about the SNAP recipients being required to reapply in order to get the benefits they’ve ALREADY FUCKING BEEN APPROVED FOR just because the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture is a fucking cunt who said so is incredible and now required reading 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sit the fuck down and read this 🔥 thread here. Its in response to the article posted earlier about requiring everyone on SNAP to reapply.

I am mad, @msmedicaid.bsky.social is mad, and you need to get mad, too.

Call your reps at the federal AND state level. Demand action to protect the people.

Not to detract from the TSA and ATCs who worked diligently through the shutdown, they deserve whatever bonus gets given to them, but how about some love as well for all the DoD civilians who kept the military afloat though the shutdown. We all worked 40+ hour weeks as well without pay.

Needed a quick break from the madness- so many people are about to lose health insurance, well dollfaces… I was furious. Devastated

But guys and dolls, it’s time to put that Yankee Doodle hat back on and let Trump and his cronies know it ain’t over baby

Let’s do it.

Anytime I reach out to a certain MCO provider services, they immediately escalate to management. Not gonna lie, this might be one of the proudest moments of my life.

The email was asking to end an auth early. Literally nothing big.

Boom. Management

They’re scared of me and it’s fucking beautiful.

People in a position of power taking advantage of those without power, those people are scum.

Power imbalances genuinely destroy people.

And it isn’t some quick rebound or recovery.

Those people… no matter who, or what associations they have, or what party, they’re horrible. Period.

If…if my math is mathing the Trump Administration now owes us AT LEAST $7000(not including high income people!)

Now, call me cynical baby dolls, but I don’t think that’s happening…

High income people, however, DID just get $1trillion in tax cuts essentially defunding #Medicaid

That did happen so…

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Take time to read and click through each post.

Providing veterans with the opportunity to get any needed care shouldn't be a debate or political issue.

If you're like me & not so familiar with medicaid, dont know what something means like an acronym or word, just ask @msmedicaid.bsky.social
