I could be wrong but I believe in historical shutdowns there was often a measure passed by Congress to ensure military pay continued so this isn’t new. It’s new that it didn’t happen already during this shutdown. I also think it should be us and military but I’m fine either way ✊

It sounds like Trump is trying to order the National Guard to "protect" a Federal courthouse, and the Chief Judge there is telling everyone that they do not need or want the Guard there. This is no way to run a military, or a country.
