Crockett: "The US is falling apart, partially bc he's allowing for killings in the street, but also bc we have a 34 count convicted felon being shielded from any type of accountability as it relates to a child sex trafficking ring. I don't understand why we're pretending any of this is normal."

ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

"No one knows how many veterans who protected us while serving in the United States military have been deported, often to countries they haven't seen since they were babies."

On paper, they are eligible for benefits from the VA, but there are many obstacles.

I didn't have the characters to provide an opinion in my initial post on this. Obviously, blowing up boats and murdering their occupants while claiming they're drug runners is an insane thing to do.

The CG has been conducting drug interdiction for decades without resorting to just bombing boats.

"The figure includes 116 people who were killed immediately in at least 36 attacks carried out since early September in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean"

"[The] administration has offered little evidence to support its claims of killing “narcoterrorists.”"

"Pentagon leaders have almost always publicly couched the military’s use of violence in decorous euphemisms [...] Public gloating [...] is viewed as unseemly.

"Not so for Hegseth. His tone and vocabulary regarding the use of force is gleeful, juvenile, and crude."

Cool water is the best treatment. (Dilution is the solution.) Avoid using oil based cleansers as they will trap the irritants.

I hadn't seen this, thank you! It appears to echo what I've said at first glance (changes mostly since 2023, things are improving, there's still a ways to go) but I will be giving it a more thorough read. Appreciate the additional context.

(7/7) The CG still has a long way to go when it comes to dealing with sexual assault, and any movement towards accountability and justice is a good one. But this seems like a way to virtue signal and to legitimize a previous questionable decision - the removal of ADM Fagan.
January 29, 2026 at 2:59 AM
(6/7) I can't claim to know the CG's reasoning for releasing this statement and claiming ownership for these changes, but I do have to wonder if it is an attempt to legitimize the removal of ADM Fagan by claiming programs previously in place as new and improved.
January 29, 2026 at 2:58 AM
(5/7) As one of his first actions in office, Trump removed ADM Fagan as the Commandant. The cited reason was lack of confidence due to how she handled Operation Fouled Anchor. And yet, the current CG leadership is claiming credit for her victories in working towards accountability.
January 29, 2026 at 2:58 AM
(4/7) In fact, the Directed Actions that the current CG leadership is claiming ownership of have been in place for years, and many were completed in the 2023-24 time period, under ADM Fagan. Here is a list:

(3/7) However, I believe it is important to clarify that these positions, and the upcoming updates to the CG's sexual assault policy/SAPRR program, have been in the works for quite a while, including under the previous Commandant, ADM Linda Fagan.
January 29, 2026 at 2:57 AM
(2/7) At first glance, this email does not appear to include anything new. The CG is reiterating that sexual assault is not acceptable, and stating their commitment to prevention and response to sexual assault cases. At face value, this is positive.
January 29, 2026 at 2:57 AM
(1/7) Today, the CG released a statement about "Combatting Sexual Assault." A link to a summary is below for anyone interested - the original "Action Order" was attributed to and sent out from the email account of the Commandant, ADM Kevin Lunday.

"The VA just finalized a new abortion ban policy that, once again, excludes exceptions for rape or incest and offers only vague assurances that it will intervene if our lives are at risk. They initially implemented this enormous change in secret without telling veterans or their families."
"In effect, it returns the VA to what was once the most extreme abortion ban in the country—an outright prohibition on care and counseling that applies to every VA facility nationwide, regardless of state law."

This isn’t just a rollback. It’s a deliberate erasure of rights that we fought for in the wake of deeply personal and collective loss.

Good. Hoping for justice in all the regime's cases of blatant murder - it won't bring the victims back, but their families deserve for the killers to be held accountable.
