“There is substantial evidence that sleep is critical for proper healing, either from illness or injury. Furthermore, research focusing broadly on injury from athletics or sports has found that poor sleep is related to injury,” said MSU's Kimberly Fenn, PhD.

“DNA testing may indeed corroborate survivors’ accounts, but it remains to be seen whether this evidence can shift the long-standing practice of adjudicating victims’ credibility rather than perpetrators’ behavior," said Dr. Rebecca Campbell, University Distinguished Professor of Psychology at MSU.
