This is awesome!!
This looks great! You captured the CRT feel really well!
It's #ScreenShotSaturday, and I no longer use pngs for sprites!
I now get all pixel information directly from aseprite files, saving me export time and less manual definitions all around :)

This looks so good!
This #ScreenShotSaturday includes more than just my game running! This week, the moving platforms now move along a fixed path! I thought it'd be fun to see a bit more of the dev process, so here you can see the platform being placed via Tiled, my map editor of choice.

I think I used "asdf" for ABXY, "qw" (maybe "er"?)for RL, and the arrow keys for the dpad.

This really takes me back!
I've been happy to find it! I was reading it just the other day when I started following you on Mastodon!
Today's the first #ScreenshotSaturday that I'm on time for! This week I implemented moving platforms. Thanks to @maddymakesgames.com for her amazing "Celeste & TowerFall Physics" article! The logic in my GBA game is inspired by the Solids and Actors approach.

I feel a little like I'm looking in the mirror. I've started making a game that I *know* is going to take ages, and my little kiddos love to see it come to life and "play-test" for me. This photo is a treasure!
I'll be excited to follow along! SNESdev is something I *eventually* want to explore. I'm currently deep in the weeds on GBAdev, and I've heard they share some similarities.
Congratulations! I'll be excited to play it!
Thanks a lot! Regarding tools:
- Programmed in Nim using the Natu toolkit
- Tiled for levels
- Aseprite for graphics

You're spot on about the camera! Lots of improvements are planned. I basically got the scrolling working and moved on to other stuff. It doesn't even move in the Y Axis currently 😅

Being willing to talk on the phone effectively amounts to a super power in this day and age. I swear, for the vast majority of restaurants you can give them a call, check their availability, and book a reservation faster than whatever third party booking system can load their single-page web app.
This is awesome!
Somehow I missed this game when it first released. The trailer looks incredible, and I just ordered a physical copy for PS5! Thanks for putting this on my radar!

With new Tony Hawk and Donkey Kong games, millennial gamers finally have an excuse to regale their spouses about the sickest sleepovers of their childhood.

Prayers out for patient partners
I’m not normally one to get these things, but this one has me really tempted 😅
This is really cool!
Congratulations! That’s so exciting.
