This was the type of salamander by the way. Its a red eft. Also I'm not even a zoology person, this info just lives in my head

Sometimes I get imposter syndrome over being autistic (despite being extensively studied as an early teen by a local uni because I has it) but those feelings disappear instantly when I'm watching a random YouTube video and a salamander makes a surprise appearance and I instantly name the species

For those wondering, this is a banded wooly bear caterpillar/Isabella tiger moth, and they are friends. One of my favourite books as a kid had a section on keeping one as a pet for the winter and I always wanted to do it.

It was a slightly more benign grift than alot of the recent ones we've seen in the past decade. I would have found it more fun to watch if it wasn't so annoyingly prevalent as a cash grab for companies to exploit for any of the media franchises we all held dear

Maybe they'll just rehash an old bubble, they've been pretty bad at creativity for grifts lately. Probably a web4.0 or NFTs2.0, maybe another metaverse. Or (and I really hope not) the next tech bubble will be military tech like palantir with billions flooding into that hellscape for profit

First time I've ever heard my neighbour's make any noise (except moving furnature, but thats direct ground contact so its different) now all the sudden I hear music coming from upstairs, it must be extremely loud if I can hear it clearly

A brown dwarf with really active aurorae might be pretty spooky looking, lots of cyclonic storms, lightning everywhere, and a red glow with magenta-ish coloured crown

My dumb ass read this and thought why are they researching what vacuum to get? Thinking that you meant a quantum vacuum... if you are looking for that type of vacuum, I recommend the quantum chromodynamics one, its spicy and opinionated but not catastrophically unstable like the Higgs field

I switched to niri from hyprland because of this whole situation; I checked out the hyprland discord and was kinda blown away. Its not even organic bigotry over there, its like forced cringe bigotry, like they are trying to fit in with the neo nazis but still even outcasts in that respect. (-__-)
