I want to thank everyone that has supported me - especially my wife, my family, and followers. There's absolutely no way I could have ever done this without you.

I'll always be grateful for being given the chance to have my dream job. The chance to create meaning, hope, and happiness.

For years I wanted to do this.

For years I kicked the can.

But finally, I've put together a complete guide for anyone wanting to learn about their family history outside of traditional, boring Genealogy.

The part where Carney mouthed the word 'never', to be honest, tickled me pink.

After the press conference, both leaders left for a private lunch before ending the visit. The full picture of how this meeting will set the tone going forward is yet to be seen, but I'm optimistic that this was a step in the right direction.

Overall, I think the meeting went very well. Regardless of political leanings, I think it's very fair to say that Carney handled it professionally with the conduct expected of the Prime Minister. He didn't back down in his defence of Canada and spoke concisely, clearly, and directly.

8 ) Trump completely pivoted from his aggressive narrative, striking a friendly tone, and at times was even respectful to Carney (if not respectful to facts).

7) Prime Minister Carney continued to display the sort of conduct that got him elected. He was calm, composed, fair, and firm. He didn't accept any infringements on Canadian sovereignty in comments made by Trump and handled the whole meeting very well.

6) Trump seemed to believe that Alex Ovechkin, a Russian NHL player, is Canadian.

5) When asked if there was anything Prime Minister Carney could do to lift US tariffs, Trump said “No. Just the way it is.”

4) When asked about CUSMA, Trump said “It’s fine. It’s there. It’s good. We use it for certain things.” Carney, not one to mince words, turned to Trump and said “Part of the way you’ve conducted these tariffs has taken advantage of existing aspects of CUSMA. So it’s going to have to change.”

3) Trump acknowledged that there's almost no interest in Canada for joining the U.S. “It takes two to tango. We’re not going to be discussing that unless someone wants to. Over time, we’ll see what happens.”

2) Trump changed his messaging, and even praised Carney, saying “Canada chose a very talented person, a good person. You ran a really great race … I watched the debate. I have a lot of respect for this man. We’re going to be friends with Canada.… Canada’s a very special place to me.… I love Canada.”

Carney quickly replied that in real estate, there “are some places that are never for sale.” When Trump replied by saying 'never say never', Carney silently mouthed the word 'never' three time while looking at Trump.

1) Trump maintained his position that Canada should become the 51st state by saying that "as a real estate developer, when he sees the map without the border he thinks, “That’s the way it was meant to be.”

How did the meeting between Carney and Trump go? Here are my takeaways. 👇

We only have 10 days - 10 days to determine what side of history this amazing nation will be on. We have to fight like hell. This is the most consequential election of our generation. Go out and vote. If you haven't registered, go do it, today.

I have real hope that we can do this - that we can heal this country and forge our own way in this world. But we can only do it together. Our greatest strength is, and always has been, our unwavering ability to come together at the darkest hours, and fight like hell to drive it back.
