All in favour of shared spaces that get people out and about and it you’re going to burn money on gambling then yeah, better to do so with a friendly person on hand. But still some incredible “men’s mental health” lobbying against a gambling tax in the Sunday Times. www.thetimes.com/article/f115...

"What happened to one half of NyLon can happen to the other as well — and a lot more quickly than New Yorkers might imagine."

In three terms as mayor, Sadiq Khan has crushed the economic life out of Britain’s capital.

Have reviewed 14 comedy shows in the last three weeks, if that's of interest. Rosie Jones, Nick Mohammed, Suzi Ruffell, Scott Bennett, Jessica Fostekew and Clash of the Comics. Plus particularly AMAZING shows from Simon Amstell, Michelle De Swarte and Helen Bauer www.comedy.co.uk/people/mark_...

We're obviously going to get loads of stories about driverless taxis over the next few years and quite apart from anything else it feels like it's going to become extremely boring

The Pleasance is making a loss. Seems likely to make a bigger loss in the next reported financial year.

The obvious question being: if not even they can turn a profit, who can? Just the university, the council, Monkey Barrel and landlords?

If I was looking to reassure fans about Doctor Who's future I'm not sure I'd use phrases like "Doctor Who is going nowhere" and "The Tardis is going nowhere"

Brilliant investigation, this 👏. The comedy PR company that decided to start their own publication, a publication that ensures virtually all their acts get reviewed, and which therefore provides quotes and star ratings that then get used in their publicity 🤔🤔🤔

My review of GLASTONBURY.
Featuring substantial 1975 criticisms; 21 acts ranked best to worst; criticism of the late night areas; Olivia Rodrigo & Neil Young; why the best set of the festival was so damn good; 'first ever' Taskmaster Live; 2027 headliner predictions

Glastonbury 2025 - The Worthy Awards
The absolutely fictional awards ceremony returns, also discussing Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, Pulp, Beth Gibbons, Wolf Alice and much more.

Brockwell Park:
- It doesn't take up THAT much of the park?
- Must we act like the grass they damaged is a critical London asset? We have a really high amount of green space for a city this size
- Nice if older generations made some sacrifices for the young due to their sacrifices made during Covid

So, after all that, the first south London festivals are on in the park and the massed Lime riders of London are arriving. I tried to work out *on what basis* they’re on this morning (bit baffling: www.londoncentric.media/p/a-mighty-f...) and now the local residents are going to try AGAIN in court.
