So many people out there complaining about the Democrats not standing up to Republicans, that we need a real opposition party, etc. & I feel so bad for them that even in the face of all this evidence they still can't accept the truth about our parties or our political ruling class.

The argument that the system is broken and must be fixed presumes there was a time when the system was working. Point this out to incrementalists, to advocates for change from within, to all centrists and liberals. Always point out this fallacy.

"Do your own research and decide for yourself" is a propaganda tactic. Anyone not experienced in doing research will come to conclusions they already agree with. And they'll believe them even more strongly.
