Anni has almost the opposite problem, they’re too self-sacrificing. They don’t have as much of an arc in book 1 but book 2 is much more about them learning to chase what *they* want

At the end of the day, they’re also both kids/teens. Not exactly the most prone to well thought out decisions XD

It doesn’t help that she’s impressionable and her sense of justice might not be the most nuanced. Essentially, she sees a problem, she’s going to do her best to solve regardless of if it’s something she’s suited for or even capable of :v

That’s right! I’m no diviner like Nalu, and I’m not good at speaking, but I came down because I’m the best caster in our class!

Sure! I might not have a focus, but I’ve always been able to sense mana well and I won’t lose to some dumb lock!
