I can't tell you how many times I've had this conversation in person - mostly pertaining to the civil war. I attend a lot of local history meet ups and volunteer at a colonial fort.

Things have felt somber in my house. Things suck nationally and we aren't immune to feeling the weight of it. Solutions? Starting impromptu dance parties, baking new things, and buying the leftover masks for 50¢ at the dollar store and creeping on my partner through the window aka the cute scare 😼

When lots of trans folks were excited to apply for passports many of us were advising caution. I have real fear for people who did and signed Trump's agreement.
I don't want to be a doomer, but I think at this point realist do not trust SCOTUS or advocates asking folks to put their names on list.

Perks of starting work at 4am are seeing the moon/stars and sunrise every day. Sometimes I have enough time to take a pic of the nice ones and share them with my partners...when they wake up 😅

Took a friend to the doctors in Virginia (us rural folks regularly drive 2 hours to dr's appts). Heard a Winsome Earle-Sears ad on the radio. It was straight up ScArY CoMmuNiSt will LET MEN IN YOUR DAUGHTERS LOCKER ROOM.
