Being queer and growing up in poverty here meant having to listen to prayers about the homosexual sinners to get your government cheese. I wish I could say that changed, but it hasn't much.

I am so proud of my niece who years ago walked out of this church mid service when a guest speaker went on an anti-lgbt tirade.

It's unfortunate that most of the resources- food pantry, AA/NA, Health Fairs are held in churches here in WV and most of the rural U.S.

My county build 3 new schools that opened this year despite our student population going down. Now they can't get enough staff. They are hiring teachers who have no degrees. I think here it's less an impact of homeschoolers and more our aging population.
