Those wounds don't heal completely. But they get less painful overtime. And it's that fact that I use to tell not only Pablo's story, but my own.

As yes, there is extremely upsetting topics to write about, but for Pablo, he isnt defined by it. No one is. He heals, even if it takes a while. Even if scars are left behind. Even if he has days where he disassociates or needs time to himself.

Censoring this type of writing because its "triggering" or a "bad thing to write" only makes people who suffered horrible traumas unable to show their stories and it baffles me how puritanical a lot of art circles have become.

For characters like Pablo, who I cant get into too much detail here, doing a disservice to his story would be doing a disservice to my own and many others. Yes, trigger warnings are needed, but once you decide to go past them, thats on you.

Very few characters have romantic side plots, as I'm very picky with those. When it comes to sexual scenarios or scenes, I do my best to approach it with tact and objectivity, especially with characters like Aren and the whole Belldwell institution.
