Oh no, not cool. This guy is so anti-poor. Please Nepal. You can do better.

The joy of bookworm adulthood is the power to create your own required reading list. The agony is in being a poly reader and not knowing how to take notes in accordance with your madness.

This is the mutual admiration club. :) Got the chance to recommend some books to the ALR readership. Check these titles out and get your hands on Ben Tausig’s books, too!

Finally finding time to read this, slowly and deliberately. I’m surprised by the lines that make me laugh out loud, irreverent and searing. Love, love this book.

notes from this, a thread >>

- it is time for a rejection of any global space of ideas that excludes palestine
- there is a need to resist how the state actively recruits writers for cultural export (on the capital-driven frankfurt book fair as a whole)
TONIGHT!! #BoycottIsrael and boycott the complicit Frankfurt Book Fair. (9 p.m. if you are on JST with me)

Just goes to show you that in Philippine politics, it's really about who's in charge and not party or personal loyalty per se.

The fee to apply for Belgian nationality has gone from 150 euros to 1,000 euros as part of this new government's plan to have the strictest migration policies in Europe.

This while spending less on social services and more on defense capability in the guise of keeping people safe. Same bullshit.

This. For everything. Just keep drawing the line and connecting the dots.
It’s all a part of the same continuum. Genocide & ethnic cleansing from Gaza to the West Bank, silencing of Palestinians & their allies, resegregation, incarceration, and deportation, erasure of trans people. That’s why those who resist have to draw the line at every single moment—no exceptions.

Necessary read. The pit in my stomach gets deeper as a new government is formed in Belgium and their priorities are far from social welfare.
Last week, while waiting for the train home, I saw someone shooting up in Trône metro station.

How has the city come to this point?

This is horrible on so many levels.
The entirety of the USAID work force got recalled globally 5.30 this morning CMT. With a paragraph email. 10K people. And many have worked so long at the agency they have no homes in the US to go to. No information about how to transporteur belongings or even who covers it.
