A recent #disquietjunto prompt was, "Do that thing you’ve been meaning to do." I tried to learn to use my Pocket Operators.
...I still do not really know how to use them. But I did manage to make a this fun track!

This week's #disquietjunto prompt was to record something that could have been made by an ancestor and then add something modern to it.
I have a great-great-uncle who headed out west to play piano in saloons, and I've loved that story. This is my tribute (and collab)!

This week's Disquiet Junto prompt was: "You’re now recording music under the name Dense Fog Advisory. Record a new track, appropriate to your name."

I was pressed for time, but I managed to make some blurry and foggy sounds out of wobbly synths, white noise, and shifting arpeggios. Enjoy!

Last week's #disquietjunto prompt was to compose 8-bit music inspired by a Cory Arcangel / Super Mario video that removed everything in Super Mario Bros. except the clouds:

It's trio time in the #disquietjunto verse! We're all making one track to be paired with two other asynchronous collaborators. Here's my entry, made from a recording of a train ride and vocoders. Anyone can jump in for the next one, #disquiet0698

A recent #disquietjunto prompt was to take a melody you know well and sort the notes by duration and pitch. I took the melody to the jazz standard Misty, treated it as a cantus firmus with a contrapuntal melody, and then a little jazzy synthetic scale for improv.

I'm going through the process of keeping, selling, and/or trashing the 100's of CD's I've acquired since the 90's.

How many do you have? Is it too many?

I wrote about the process (and pondering my own attachment to physical detritus) over at my substack:

Just reminded how great the Google Pixel Magic Eraser function is when you use it on comicbook art.

Melting Jack Kirby splash pages and double page spreads gets my favourite results.
