@dcbradshaw.com just got Little But Fierce for Christmas. My little ones and I have just been winging some adventures with no real system. This'll be a great intro to a rules system. Thanks for creating this!

Any chance there's a printer-friendly PDF available (without backgrounds)?

Apparently the presence of em dashes—like these—is a common sign of AI-generated text. Guess I'll be gettin' flagged then cuz I love my em dashes—probably more than I should—and the "compose" key on Linux makes them really easy to type. Ellipsis, too…

The Empire killed Jesus.
God raised him anyway.

Easter is God's protest against violence, injustice, and death.
A holy uprising of love, liberation, and life.

You can't legislate resurrection away.
You can't crucify hope forever.

Christ is risen.

In Sim City 2000, when you raised/lowered taxes, it would play a "Yay!" or "Boo!" sound. If I wanted to raise taxes, I would always click the up arrow one extra time (Boo!) so I could end by clicking the down arrow (Yay!).

I never imagined that would one day be actual U.S. foreign trade policy.

At least the people in Ready Player One had sick VR. Our world is burning down but instead of fulfilling our fantasies in immersive virtual escapism, we get immobile, low-poly marionettes in a chair circle. That and our Oasis is just being built by the evil corporate overlord from the outset.

Personally recommend Firefox+DuckDuckGo. Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection is very robust and in rare cases where it causes issues it can be easily turned off for a domain from the address bar. support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enh...

Been trying to introduce my little ones (4 and 6) to some video games recently and the amount of ceremony needed to start playing a game for the first time these days is so painful.

Swiping. Android. Had the original Swype app and wish I could still use it.

Incredible. Is this visible light? Are the colors "real"?

Update: we're back on the Play Store! Unclear at this point which of the numerous strings pulled, favors asked, and legal threats sent actually did the trick, but I'm very grateful for all of the effort on every front, including everyone who boosted this here. Thanks!

Our company's public-safety comms app has been removed from from the Google Play store because of a spurious trademark claim. I've got basically no reach, but if yall want to like/share/whatever to try and raise visibility, I'd appreciate it.

Occurs to me that there’s a similarity between these politics grifters & fundamentalist apologetics: Their job isn’t REALLY to make an argument that holds up to reflection or scrutiny. It’s to deliver a performance of “erudite person who agrees with me” so you have permission not to think too hard.
If that phrase alone doesn't encapsulate 90% of the media's current challenge…

Do it. You can also change the difficulty at any time. I mostly play on medium or whatever they call it but frequently drop to easy to replay a battle that went badly.

I wish more things with color fading features had a so-slow-it's-imperceptible mode. Like, I want to look over at the squishy uwu-cat table light after an hour and think "oh that's a nice new color." I don't want a disco show.

In case anyone else needs to know... Nickel Creek has a secret Christmas track. It's a pretty nice cover of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" from, of all things, a 2001 direct-to-video movie sequel called Prancer Returns. tidal.com/browse/track...

Maybe music alone can't fix broken things, but also maybe it can. I feel a little less broken after listening to Jon Batiste's absolutely mindblowing cover of Für Elise, and I hope you will, too
