NEW ARTICLE! I feel its going to resonate with many of you, even if it's a new concept. All about Giftedness and why it is so prevalent in the Salesforce ecosystem.

With particular thanks to Marie van Roekel and Paul McCollum for brainstorming.

It can work, and it can also go disastrously wrong! I suspect diversification is healthy. (though I myself worked with my then-husband for a period of time without incident - he just rapidly realised that for his sanity he should look at my output rather than the way I actually did things!)

3. Knowing something intellectually is different from feeling something emotionally. Speaking to other ADHDers and knowing that you are not alone is incredibly rewarding, and helps the different parts of the brain meet. Local groups can be found on Meetup, Facebook and Eventbrite. /5 of 5

2, Nope. I've actually heard this on podcasts, but I've checked and you only need to inform the DVLA if you have a medical condition that affects your driving - so if your ADHD doesn't affect your driving, no need to say anything. /4

1. Unfortunately so. Discrimination against mental health conditions exists at national levels. And the relevant board reasonable for those decisions don't reply to messages when this is pointed out. I'm on the case! 😁 /3

🚗You need to inform the DVLA (UK's Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) if you have ADHD and drive

🦻🏻If you have ADHD, there are groups where you can listen to others, and tell your own ADHD story, and it’s incredibly empowering /2

Two truths and a lie! #11

🚅If you having a hearing problem, you can get a 1/3 discount on rail travel throughout the UK, but if you cannot drive because you have ADHD, you don't qualify for any discount at all /1

I'm now reminded that a lot of the Salesforce.com people moved to ServiceNow. 🤔 Thought query for another time. Very (very) happy with my own career/life direction!

I thank my friends - and coaching clients - for their perseverance! 😁

The thing about Salesforce is that it's good for the geek adjacent - I was never that into Linux or anything needing a command line interface. And the community that always pays it forward, nudges when necessary, and showed (shows!) me how to be.

What about an unhinged CEO and lacking-on-credibility AI focus, makes you think that Andy? At least we have the Dreamin conferences and broader community. I wonder what the broader impact will be of Benioff's recent statement.

Wonder what the/where other mega community-enthused IT products are?

Dear Internet. Taking recommendations for wired headphones (earpods I lose). I want my microphone to be decent - currently I sound a bit tinny and I think I should get something better.

I did think of a free standing mic, but that won't work as I type rather loudly on my keyboard...

Mounjaro. So this is what (many) neurotypicals people feel after eating. Weird. #ADHD #FeelingVeryFull

(I lack the switch for the voice in my head, which should be telling me when I am full, and then I got adhd inner repetition to boot 😑. Medication isn't the only tool, but it can be useful!)

I know, I've used some robust language this morning for sure, and yes, I'm on my way to DF now, but I've already decided not to go to TDX.

A classic of the genre of the "announcing a thing by standing as many people in front of the thing so you can't see the thing being announced" press photo.

Apparently, there's a disused loo behind them that's now a community cafe and accessible loo.

It's been a busy week! (ok, it's all coincidence, that's how it rolls sometimes). Here I am talking about my lived experience of ADHD, the sense of peace I have got since my diagnosis, and lots more! (with thanks to ADHD Europe)

PSA for those attending #df25.

Bring your headphones. They will be needed for a number of theater and breakout sessions to get the audio via the events app.

Don't know if I'm allowed to crow, but going to do it anyway as I'm in mild shock. Just got another client! Full corporate rate!! (repeat customer). Very much at an honest 75%, or more, capacity. 😮🥳

*And* volunteering for the Scottish ADHD Coalition. It's all go!!

We also are happy to expand the list and include neurodivergent groups (that is groups that support ADHDers as part of their remit). Just send us details, by email to [email protected], by posting here, or messaging us directly.

Meanwhile, over on Facebook 🥳 www.facebook.com/scottishadhd...

"We've just updated the list of local ADHD support groups and voluntary organisations in Scotland. If you know of one we've missed or where the details we hold are inaccurate, let us know!

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.
