There was a fool like this at the no kings rally I went to. Wearing a go pro on his head with a big ass “deport them all” flag. Mostly nobody engaged him, but we did get a Benny Hill moment when someone yoinked his flag off him and went running down the street

I’ve never had a problem with tomato virus’, knock on wood. I usually plant in raised crates, and I just reuse the dirt after binning it over the winter. They pop up all over my yard because I use compost fertilizer. Sometimes I grow from seed, sometimes from potted plants. Good luck next year!

I would normally say fuck the chamber of commerce, and I still say fuck the chamber of commerce, because they brought this shit on the rest of us, but I am happy to see them have to light $millions on fire while also forcing the fascists in charge use up their bandwidth as well

25 odd years ago I was watching a video in one of my classes and someone used the term agida. A kid asked what that meant “it’s an ethnic term meaning upset”. Another student demanded I apologize because “I’m ethnic”

I was working as a prep cook and none of the dishwashers showed up for work. The manager didn’t find out until there were no more clean plates. She came to the kitchen and barked at me to start washing. I looked in the dishroom, walked out the door….

I can’t say for sure if it’s a sign o’ the times or just my confirmation bias, but I was asked about my choice of grocery chains by high school sophomores who then went on to extoll the virtues of Aldi.
