'Good judgment' and 'common sense' go together, in that most people don't have either.

Rav TeabagsWithTorah has a long treatise on Pepe the Frog memes during Passover and the annual frog plague debate (one giant frog?? or a flood of small ones??) that is surprisingly insightful.

Sometimes I remember Reagan removing Jimmy Carter’s solar panels and I think we’ve been enduring this shit for way too many years.

TMI on main but they don't tell you that you hit forty and you can't understand why your legs are sore and it's because you had sex two days ago in a *slightly* new position and now everything hurts 😂🫠

It's so fun when your right to bodily autonomy changes when you cross an arbitrary geographical line!!

Tbf, as a fellow Millennial, it's not unimpressive.

This Diet Coke might not fix all my problems but it's gonna give it the ol' college try.

I was definitely a zombie for about five years as I endured the infancy and toddlerhood of my two kids, so I feel you. It did/does get better!! It helps if you do it every day and only sleep in until like, 7am on weekends (which is when my kids get up now, haha).

kelp kelp kelp kelp it even sounds cool
People ask me "why kelp is important". There's not enough space for all the reasons here but big reasons are that kelp can grow faster than any other any species fixing CO2, providing shelter and food. Urchins eat kelp plus they're "messy" eaters so they feed other species nearby.

I get around 5am to go to work as a teacher and I go to bed around 9:30pm. Kids in bed, me in bed. 🙃

Boomers and many Gen Xers see the 'American Dream' as a reality and Millennials onward see it as an ideal that has yet to be achieved. Both proceed accordingly and wow, does it get messy trying to talk about it. 🙃

What is it about second children that makes them so chaotic. Why have we not studied this in a lab.

Did a food tour in New Orleans and learned SO MANY FACTS about sandwiches while stuffing our faces with said sandwiches. Bliss. 😌

(Also, this book is excellent and just as intensely readable as his first book, "Midnight in Chernobyl." Highly, highly recommend.)

Reminded again that astronauts are people beyond extraordinary, like, of course you are an elite athlete, unnervingly calm under pressure, and also have a PhD in astrophysics. While Black under Jim Crow. Or a woman. Or Asian American. Or dirt poor. Just ridiculous people (complimentary).

A tragedy, a travesty, and a terrible loss for all of us.
The Washington Post is getting rid of its Books section. We’re losing the institutions—journalism, middle-class artistic and intellectual culture—that once made life bearable. Those things were a threat to the super-rich who increasingly govern us. Democracy dies in illiteracy.
