How do we end corruption in D.C.?

▶️ Ban stock trading in Congress

▶️ Impose a lifetime lobbying ban

▶️ Expand anti-corruption and recusal rules for the Executive Branch

Proud to join a new generation of public servants in introducing the legislation above.
I sued I.C.E.

Here's why the case is important for our country.

$82 trillion in financial assets are under management by investment firms in the U.S. — and only 1.4% are managed by women or minority owned firms.

House Republicans’ top legislative priority this week is a bill to apparently lower that number to zero.
January 14, 2026 at 3:52 PM
As House Republicans cut taxes for billionaires, they refuse to increase the Federal minimum wage — which hasn’t been raised for 17 YEARS.
January 13, 2026 at 5:46 PM
Which is why we’ve gone back to court to challenge it — immediately.
January 12, 2026 at 5:26 PM
The law is crystal-clear: the Trump administration can’t block Members of Congress from conducting real-time oversight of immigration detention facilities.

Instead of complying with the law, DHS is subverting the court’s order by re-imposing the same unlawful policy.
January 12, 2026 at 5:26 PM
This policy is a clear attempt to subvert the ruling — a mere 3 weeks ago — in Neguse et al. v. ICE et al.

We will challenge it in court immediately.
NEWS: A day after the Minneapolis shooting, Secretary Noem quietly signed a new policy barring congressional visits to ICE facilities without a week's advance notice. That policy change led to three MN Dems being blocked from accessing an ICE facility today. www.politico.com/news/2026/01...

ICE obstructed congressional oversight of detention facilities. Some said Congress had no way to stop them.

Not me.

Instead, I sued ICE — and the Federal court in my lawsuit (Neguse et. al v. ICE) just recently ruled in our favor.

We must keep pushing for accountability and the rule of law.

President Trump has declared war on Colorado.

His latest act of retribution is vetoing a bipartisan bill— that passed unanimously— to provide 50,000 people in rural Colorado access to clean water.

Unless Congress acts, no town, city or state in America will be safe from his political retaliation.

Tonight — thanks to all of YOU — House Democrats did something many thought impossible.

We forced the Republican-controlled House to vote on extending healthcare tax credits for working families.

And it PASSED.

The Senate must now do the same.

After a 23-day recess, Republicans reconvened Congress.

Their first legislative priority for the New Year?

Shower-heads.

Devastating, horrific, and heartbreaking.

We cannot normalize this — there must be accountability.
An ICE agent shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis on Wednesday, the latest in a series of shootings by federal agents during immigration enforcement operations. In the last four months alone, immigration officers have fired on at least nine people.
Deadly Minneapolis Encounter Is the 9th ICE Shooting Since September
All those targeted in the shootings were fired on while in their vehicles.

Let us never forget the brave law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line to defend our democracy.

As I said during Trump’s second impeachment trial, for centuries we accepted the peaceful transfer of power as fact.

5 years ago, that changed, when our Capitol — and our republic — were attacked.

Our first 2 town halls of 2026 are in the books! Grateful for the thoughtful conversations and the chance to hear directly from folks in Georgetown & Walden over the weekend.

Colorado's 2nd District is nearly 12,000 square miles — and no matter how far, we'll keep showing up in every corner!

Many thanks to all the folks across Jackson County who attended our town hall in Walden today and made your voices heard.

Grateful to start the New Year visiting with folks in Cowdrey and Walden this morning.

Trump’s actions are blatantly unconstitutional.

There is no dispute that Maduro is a brutal dictator — but only Congress has the power to declare war.

If Congress does not begin reasserting itself — immediately — our constitutional order will be permanently transformed.

Happy New Year! 🎉

To kick-off 2026, we’re hosting our 1st town hall of the year TOMORROW — in Jackson County!

Join us in Walden to hear about our work for Colorado’s 2nd District and ask questions, share ideas and be part of our community-wide conversation.

We held 17 public town halls in 2025 in communities across Northwest Colorado — small and large, rural and suburban, conservative and liberal — to hear directly from Coloradans.

And 2026 will be no different!

We'll keep showing up — each and everyday.
