You know it’s crazy looking at pediatric growth charts because I remember being 11 and being like 110 pounds maybe? But I was 5’8”. So that’s actually barely about the 50%ile for weight while I was 99%ile for height. But I remember thinking I was fat cause I weighed more than a hundred pounds.

Something I didn’t know until I was an adult is that sinus polyps can cause phantom smells. And I’ve had sinus polyps basically since I was probably 11 or 12. So I was just like “yeah sometimes I just smell cigarette smoke for a couple weeks and that’s just normal”. Turns out it’s not.

What sucks is there’s like a legitimate cultural conversation to have about how we just automatically circumcise babies after they’re born and the removal of autonomy over a procedure that isn’t medically necessary. But instead it’s like. Oh it’s bad cause it causes autism cause I said so
