I like the visual storytelling of Denji's injury here, because Fujimoto can inflict whatever pain onto him and not worry about him recovering the shrapnel piercing around where his heart would can imply a level of heartbreak at yet another person in his life who liked him died.

Chainsaw Man, part 2 especially, strikes me as being just so full of this seething rage for the state of the world and the abuse within it. It's really cathartic to read even if its narrative structure is composed around anticlimax
