A friend once wrote a script about a group of commando movie makers who lived in a world where the govt mandated all movies be made with AI. They lived dangerous lives, hunted by the govt, just to make real movies.

Just got actually robo-called by an AI asking if I had credit card debt. United Credit Solutions was the name they gave. When I asked it if it was AI, it said it was a virtual assistant. It tried to pretend it knew I had a balance, but then asked me if I did. I don't.
